Shizuoka prefecture is located in the Pacific coast of the Chubu region southeast and has expressive nature. Fuji rises to the north of the eastern province, Izu peninsula to the south of the eastern part, and Lake Hamana to the west. A long coastline along the Enshu Nada, Suruga Bay and Sagami Nada brings rich ocean fishes. Moreover, Tenryu River, Oigawa River, Fuji River etc. flow, forming a fertile land toward the Pacific Ocean. There are a variety of special products such as tea, oranges and strawberries.
Fuji, Hamanako, hot springs, resorts and many other sightseeing spots, transportation is convenient and it is very popular as a tourist destination.
